About the event

St. Ann’s is thrilled to welcome Elizabeth “Libbie” Schrader for a performance and discussion Friday, October 1. After a long career as a singer/songwriter, Schrader transitioned to religious scholarship after writing a song about Mary Magdalene in 2011. Now a Ph.D. candidate in Early Christianity at Duke University, Schrader’s research focuses on Mary Magdalene, textual criticism and feminist theology. Join us to hear “Magdalene” and other songs, as well as a presentation on Schrader’s scholarship, which was published in the Harvard Theological Review in 2017.
