About the Event
Was the Gospel of John changed to diminish Mary Magdalene? Could patriarchal bias have affected the copyists of the text of the New Testament? Duke doctoral candidate Elizabeth Schrader shares her research on the oldest manuscripts of the Gospel of John, which have revealed striking textual problems in dozens of Gospel manuscripts of the story of Lazarus being raised from the dead. Join us for a presentation at the cutting edge of biblical scholarship and one of the most recognized names in women’s history. This session meets in the Moyle Board Room of the Karsh Alumni and Visitors Center. Parking in the Bryan Center Parking lot.
